Modesty and natural beauty – this is the main message in the new collection of Cathy Telle wedding dresses
The central and main inspiration of the new Cathy Telle collection was the biblical queen Esther. Choosing wife, the king almost a year had been taking women in his palace. All of them came in bright silks and massive jewels, well-groomed and stunningly beautiful. But it was Esther who stood out in his mind and the only one he fell in love with. She appeared in front of him in a simple cloak, her gorgeous hair was carefully collected with a golden hair clip. He loved her natural beauty.
“Esther used jewelry and clothing to emphasize her natural beauty. She didn’t try to be a different person. This is one of the values of our brand – unostentatious beauty” – Katya Sushko about her new collection. “That’s why it was important for us to show that a dress should complete the total look of the bride, making it as close to her real self as possible.”
Working on images of brides, the Cathy Telle team emphasized the natural beauty of the models, getting across the main idea of the collection. Stylists accentuated it with the help of light make-up in natural brown-beige shades and delicate hairstyle.
To shoot a new collection a team of 14 people went to Zhytomyr region (Ukraine). The photoshoot location was an ancient church built in the 18th century. “We were looking for a place that has a unique spirit and atmosphere. And how much were we surprised when we found such place in an almost abandoned village 150 km from Kyiv” – recalls the main photographer Pasha Lutov.
“We love vintage style, the elements of which are also in this collection. The church and nature on the background – our idea was embodied and we were able to bring to life what was planned.”- says Katya Sushko.
“When we started discussing the photoshoot, I studied the images of Biblical heroines. They inspired me to work with a film camera. After all, film photography has its own special charm, unspeakable colors, and shades.” – says Pasha Lutov about his work in the project. – It was quite challenging to shoot with the help of natural light. It was necessary to shoot very quickly because natural light changes every second. And even if the frame was set correctly, a small cloud could have spoiled everything. But we did it!”
